Frequently asked
01How long does it take?
Roughly 3–5 weeks for an original composition, 5–10 days for cover-song mixing, 1–3 weeks for BGM. Let us know if you are in a hurry.
02Who holds the copyright to BGM?
With the buyout, the copyright is fully yours. With the usage-rights-only plan, the right to use it as BGM is yours, and only the right to monetise it through music distribution stays with us. Neither restricts use in a game, a video, or on a website.
03How much revision is included?
It depends on the plan. Plans with "revisions until you are satisfied" also cover re-adjustment after a re-recorded vocal and mix tweaks, within reason. A major change in arrangement is quoted separately.
04Can I commission just the lyrics, or just the composition?
Yes. Lyrics are an option, and composition-only requests are welcome too. Just get in touch first.
05What do I send for a cover-song mix?
Your vocal recording without effects, and the backing track you sang to. If you are unsure about the format or how to record, we go through it with you when you get in touch.
06What if I do not need lyrics on the Singer plan or above?
Lyrics are included by default from the Singer plan up; if you do not need them, we take ¥5,000 off.
07Can an idol group commission a song?
Yes. Written by someone who knows the live room, for the stage. Agencies and groups alike can use the form below; we quote after asking the number of members and how the parts are split.
08What happens after I send the form?
We reply within a week and ask about the use, the feel, and reference tracks. You decide whether to go ahead after seeing the quote. Production starts once payment is confirmed; as a guide, 3–5 weeks for an original composition, 5–10 days for cover-song mixing, 1–3 weeks for BGM.
